HK Filmart 2017: Korean Crime Pic, V.I.P., Lands At Finecut For International Sales

South Korea-based Finecut will be on deck at this year's HKFilmart for its own slate of titles including, as of this week, Park Hoon-Jung's new crime pic, V.I.P.. The film marks the third international South Korean production following Kim Jee-Woon's The Age Of Shadows and upcoming family drama, A Single Rider starring Lee Byung-Hun.

V.I.P. stars Jang Dong-gun, Kim Myung-min, Park Hee-soon and Lee Jong-suk and tells of the events surrounding the son of a key politician - a North Korean defector at the center of a brutal crime and the converging paths of a national intel agent, a detective and North Korean cop hunting them down. The film is produced by Park's own Gold Moon Film and co-produced by Peppermint&company, Inc.

This year's HK Filmart kicks of its four day-event starting March 13.
