ESCAPE PLAN 2 Casts Dave Bautista
Most of you have already plotted your moviegoing course for the May release of James Gunn's Guardians Of The Galaxy: Vol 2, and you would be forgiven. Actor Dave Bautista has certainly garnered the attention a bit in the years since parting ways from wrestling and MMA and with a career ever flourishing it appears his upcoming role with a rumored cameo by actor Sylvester Stallone in the Marvel sequel won't be all to their presence together on screen.
This brings us to the latest report from THR regarding Emmett/Furla/Oasis's upcoming China co-production with Beijing-based Leomus Pictures, Escape Plan 2 which is set to roll cameras in the Spring, and news confirming Bautista's attachment to the film. Stallone, also poised for a fourth Expendables movie in the months ahead, is reprising the role of a prison security expert following his 2013 performance under helmer Mikael Hafstrom with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Vincent D'onofrio, Curtis Banks, Jim Caviezel and Vinnie Jones.
The film also marks his second outing with director Steven C. Miller following their recent work on heist thriller, Marauders with Bruce Willis and Christopher Meloni. Bautista is also expected to appear in Blade Runner: 2046 this October while his continuing MCU run in the forthcoming Avengers: Infinity War resumes for its 2018 premiere. Other titles in the pipeline currently include Drew Pearce's sci-fi assassin thriller, Hotel Artemis, and RLJ Entertainment's U.S. invasion action thriller, Bushwick.
